In the face of current international market volatility, commodities financing is becoming increasingly more attractive to producers and traders as a way to secure transactions and mitigate increased risk. Pricing continues to be a key issue for the inherently volatile commodities market, as Asian countries face the challenge of spiralling fuel prices coupled with rising inflation. Supply bottlenecks, poor weather, warehousing and terminalling issues all contribute to rocketing commodities prices and disruption in supply.

China and India are still leading the way in commodity sourcing to fuel continued economic growth and expansion, establishing new trade flows with places like Africa and Latin America to secure origination of precious raw materials.

Euromoney Seminars and Trade Finance Magazine's Commodities Finance Asia Conference follows on from our highly successful annual Global Commodities Finance Conference in Geneva in June. The event welcomed over 300 senior level delegates to Geneva this year. Delegates benefited from excellent  network and to discuss the pressing issues facing the commodities industry.

The Asia conference will specifically focus on key trends and developments in commodity financing in and across Asia Pacific.
