Eduardo Klepacz

Eduardo Klepacz is a Managing Director of GTIS, and is the head of the firm's Brazil Infrastructure business.

Mr. Klepacz has more than 10 years of experience in infrastructure investment. For the three years prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Klepacz was instrumental in the creation of Cubico Sustainable Investments (“Cubico”), where he acted as CEO of Brazil, managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects with $350 million in equity investments (620MW) and led a team of more than 90 employees. During this period, Mr. Klepacz closed one of the most notable transactions in the sector, the acquisition of a $620 million portfolio of wind projects from Casa dos Ventos. While at Cubico, he was also a member of the Global Investment and the Global Risk/HSE Committees. Cubico is a global renewable energy company with more than 2.4GW of installed capacity across eight countries.

Before joining Cubico, Mr. Klepacz was the Head of Capital Structuring at Santander Bank, responsible for proprietary investments in renewable energy. For eight years at Santander he managed 1.4GW of equity investments in various stages of development, both from the São Paulo and Madrid offices, and helped turn Santander into a key player in the energy sector.

Mr. Klepacz spent the initial phase of his career at AmBev (currently AB Inbev) coordinating a new methodology for electronic payments and later Mr. Klepacz joined Saint Gobain as Manager of the Norton's treasury – Brazil.

Mr. Klepacz received a degree in Economics from ibmec (Insper) and Executive Education from the Haas School of Business – UC Berkeley.
