Event Overview

The 22-year tenor for the Shuweihat 2 project, massive oversubscription to the Dolphin pipeline refinancing, and 22 banks clubbing together to finance Al Dur IWPP are the first signs of renewed vitality in the Middle East project finance market.  However, although the market is back – it has also changed.  Only a year ago projects, were underwritten by a handful of lenders – today the club deal is the way forward, often structured as a midi-perm to give lenders comfort over deal tenors.

Project Finance and Euromoney Seminars’ forthcoming Middle East Infrastructure and Energy Finance Conference is your chance to hear firsthand from the banks that have stayed and upped their project finance presence and the new lenders that have replaced some of the international banks that retreated from the market; and to review the development of public-private-partnerships in the region, the potential for renewable energy financing, the development of infrastructure funds and alternative sources of borrowing, and new sectors to project lending,
