Event Overview

With rapid industrialization and economic growth, Vietnam’s power infrastructure is incapable of meeting increasing demand in electricity.

In response to critical energy security issues, Vietnam is commissioning more power projects to add electricity to the grid in the next few years and has rolled-out new initiatives toward liberalising the power sector with new IPP projects. Over the next ten years Vietnam plans to build 95 power plants with an estimated investment of $39.58b underscoring a new phase of foreign sector investment into Vietnamese infrastructure.

Euromoney Seminars’ Vietnam Power Summit 2011 is a prestigious international event for senior decision-makers involved in the investment and development of Vietnam’s power sector – from generation, transmission to distribution. Key questions to be discussed at the event include:

-       Challenges faced by IPPs, investors and financiers in developing power projects in Vietnam
-       What are the definitive steps being taken by regulators to ensure financing and investment flows meet these challenges
-       What are the changing expectations, issues and challenges of independent power producers and international financiers?

This two-day networking Summit will convene key Vietnamese regulators, local power players, international power producers, developers and operators, multilateral agencies, financiers, investors, legal experts and consultants. Reserve your place now to be part of the future of Vietnam Power.
