Stuart Hatcher

Chief Intelligence Officer
IBA Group

Stuart began his aviation career at IBA in the summer of 1990 as an assistant analyst, prior to pursuing his studies for entry into university. Upon graduating from King's College London with a BSc and PhD in Chemistry in 2000, Stuart carried out research work with Pfizer and then EvotecOAI, before returning to the aviation sector. Stuart re-joined IBA as an analyst in early 2005 with a focus on the provision of advisory and valuation services to the commercial aircraft market. Building on from his understanding of the market dynamics and his involvement with several high-profile lessor acquisitions, Stuart designed and developed various models to ascribe aircraft's values and depreciation over their life cycles, as well as forecast revenue streams and maintenance costs over the span of aircraft lease contracts. In 2007, Stuart assumed responsibility of the commercial appraisal team and started to expand both its research and production capabilities to better accommodate the growing and diversifying needs of its customers.
