Marcelo Schwarz is a Director in the Latin America Utilities and Infrastructure team for Standard & Poor's Ratings Services. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Marcelo covers power and water utilities, as well as toll roads in Latin America, with a particular focus in Brazil, and project finance transactions in Brazil and the region. Mr. Schwarz also worked for three years at BTG Pactual, as a Director of Credit Risk where he covered a number of industries, including consumer products and agricultural commodities, heavy construction, and was also responsible for ratings advisory services. He also worked for ABN Amro Bank in Brazil and Banco Itaú BBA. Marcelo holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), and holds a MBA in Finance from Fundação Getúliio Vargas (EAESP/FGV). Marcelo is also a CFA Charterholder.
