Carmelo Restifo is a Director in the Project Finance Group at MUFG. Mr. Restifo has been with the bank for over 20 years. He began his career at Union Bank® working for the Union Bank Power and Utilities group in 2000. In 2013, MUFG integrated the Power & Utilities operations of the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU) and Union Bank. In this integrated business — now named MUFG — Mr. Restifo is primarily responsible for originating, structuring, and executing utility and energy company transactions in the U.S. and Canada. During his tenure, Mr. Restifo has spearheaded new initiatives and contributed to the growth of the bank's power and utilities portfolio in North America. He has arranged more than $5 billion in corporate and project financings including recent transactions for Canadian clients. such Northland Power, Veresen, Atlantic Power, and Kruger Energy. Mr. Restifo graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Sociology/Business.
