Alexander McIsaac

Manager, Business Development and Projects

As a founding employee of NRStor, Alexander helped secure NRStor's first round of funding and oversaw the planning, development and commissioning of Canada's first contracted commercial flywheel energy storage facility. He was NRStor's lead project manager overseeing the primary EPC contractor for the 2MW Flywheel energy storage Facility located in Minto, Ontario. The Facility was successfully commissioned on July 7th, 2014 and provides regulation service to the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). Alexander helped NRStor secure $3 million project debt financing from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and led the due diligence process and negotiations; the financing closed in July, 2014. Alexander is responsible for NRStor's government advocacy efforts and represents NRStor who is an active member of Energy Storage Ontario and the Advocacy Council. Alexander holds Board positions on Energy Storage Ontario and CAMH Engage. He holds a Bachelors of Science Honors from Queens University and an Honors Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
