A Certified Public Accountant with more than 25 years of experience in the Finance and Accounting fields. Jean joined Kruger in 1989 and he became Vice President, Financial Planning and Business Development for Kruger's Publication Papers business unit and until 2010 was Vice President, Finance for Kruger's Industrial Products division. In 2011, Jean joined Kruger Energy Inc. as Vice President, Finance responsible for Finance, Accounting, Procurement and IT.Jean has been active in project management & financing for more than 18 years. In 2006, he started a Renewable Energy project financing with a 26MW Biomass Co-Generation plant adjacent to one of Kruger's Quebec pulp & paper mills. Jean also played a leading role in the 101MW ($C237 million) 18-year financing of the Quebec Wind Farm project closed in November 2011, which included an important export credit guarantee tranche loan from Euler Hermes ($C100 million) as well as in the recently completed $C375 million refinancing of the 200 MW Kruger Energy's Ontario wind farm projects. In 2014 he was responsible for Kruger Energy 26MW Biomass Co-Generation plant refinancing ($C71 million)and a Corporate ($C42 million) back-leverage holding company refinancing.In 2014, Jean has played a leading role in two acquisitions; 22MW Hydro asset in operation (BC) and a late stage 135 MW solar project in California (first phase of 50MW is now in construction) and their respective project financing. (Aggregate amount of $C180 million).
