Katsuyoshi Goto

Chief Representative, New York Office

Katsuyoshi Goto is the Representative for NEXI's New York office. In this role, Katsu is responsible for research of the political and economic outlook in the Americas as well as relationship management with governments, companies and banks, including structuring and following up projects in the region. Katsu joined NEXI in Tokyo as Credit Supervisor of the Credit Analysis Group, assessing key transaction risks and providing recommendations for appropriate risk mitigants for proposed trade, investment and loan projects in CIS and Asia. Later, as Assistant Director of the Strategic Planning Group, he prepared business plans for NEXI. Before moving to New York in 2013, he worked at the office of the Cabinet Secretariat at the Government of Japan, arranging several ministerial meetings on the deployment of integrated infrastructure to overseas markets. Prior to joining NEXI, Katsu worked with ITOCHU, a Japanese trading house in Tokyo in the Affiliate Administration Department. He performed risk management and investment appraisal for many overseas infrastructure investment projects. He holds a certificate as a U.S. Certified Public Accountant, Master of Business Administration in Finance from Waseda University, and B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
