Graduated in Economics and Finance at University of Paris I in late 1980's, JT joined BNP Paribas as a Country Risk Economist before joining the Energy & Commodity Finance business at the bank in 1994 in Paris. After a few years acting as a Relationship Manager in relation to commodity trading companies, JT was involved in the creation of the bank's Commodity Structured Finance activity covering Western Europe, Africa and Middle East. He took the leadership of this group in early 2000's at BNP Paribas Paris. JT's client base covered the entire commodity chain (traders, producers, refiners and distributors) and all clients funding needs (short term and long term) . In 2010, JT joined BNP Paribas' New York branch to lead an initiative to re-start commodity activities in Latin America. Currently, JT is managing a group of 25 front officers based in New York, Houston and Sao Paulo covering Commodity Structure Finance, including Oil & Gas reserve based lending and Metals & Mining. Products offered cover all of the commodity chain and clients' funding needs - short term trade finance, working capital, capex and acquisition finance, mining and Oil & Gas.
