Alexandre is currently the Director Structured Trade Finance, Latin America at Archer Daniels Midland.Before joining ADM, Alexandre was the Finance and IR Director for Algar Agro, a Food and Agribusiness company and member for Grupo Algar, one of the Top 100 groups in Brazil. Responsible for the areas of Treasury, Investor Relations, Credit Risk, Supply Chain and IT, was also a member of the executive committee and a statutory director. Previously, Alex established the strategic planning to start-up Scotiabank's (Bank of Nova Scotia) involvement in the Food and Agribusiness sector in Brazil, with focus on large companies with BRL 500mln+ in revenues. Developed business opportunities to serve the segment's financial needs (loans, structured financing, trade, derivatives, f/x) as well as manage the portfolio and credit risk exposure of each individual client. Pior to joining Scotiabank, Alex was Head of global structured trade finance within the Sugar and Bioenergy Product Line at Bunge London Limited, responsible for coordination, structuring and syndication of trade financing solutions, stock financing transactions and supply chain financing with off-balance sheet structures. Alex has worked in offices in Sao Paulo, New York, Buenos Aires and London. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA and an MBA from Saint Mary's University, Halifax, Canada.
