Michael Delia

Deputy Head, Loan Syndication

Michael is Deputy Head, Loan Syndications at the EBRD. In this capacity, he is responsible for syndicating loans in Central and Eastern Europe and the countries of the CIS. He has sectoral responsibility for syndicating loans in the Natural Resources, Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure, and Power and Energy sectors.Michael joined EBRD in 1995, spent five years in EBRD's London headquarters as a senior banker, initially responsible for transactions in Central Asia and later for projects in the Balkans and the Caucasus. From 2000 to 2004 Mr. Delia held the position of Deputy Director of EBRD's Resident Office in Bulgaria. From 2004 until early 2008, Mr. Delia held the position of Senior Syndications Manager.Before joining EBRD, Michael was a senior investment officer with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in Washington, DC.A native of Chicago, Mr. Delia has A.B. degrees in Political Science and French from the University of Illinois and a M.A. degree in International Economics and European Studies from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
