Andrew Jameson

Executive Officer, General Manager, Investment Banking Division for EMEA

Andrew has been working in the City of London for the past 25 years. In February 2011 he left The Royal Bank of Scotland, after 15 years, to join The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (part of the MUFG Group). His initial role as General Manager and Head of Structured Finance for the EMEA region saw him achieve the bank's goal of becoming one of the leading Structured Finance Banks in the region. May 2013 saw Andrew promoted to General Manager Investment Banking Division for EMEA and this role includes responsibility for Structured Finance, Commodity & Structured Trade Finance, Syndications, Strategic Finance, Securitisation and Acquisition Finance. In March 2014 in continued recognition of its excellence in project finance, MUFG was named Global MLA of the Year by Infrastructure Journal. MUFG also won this award in 2013, and in both 2012 and 2011 the bank was recognised as Global Bank of the Year by Euromoney and Project Finance International respectively. In June 2015 Andrew was made an Executive Officer of the Bank. Prior to joining BTMU, Andrew headed the RBS Group's Private Investment Banking business, was on the Board of the UK Corporate Banking Division heading the Government Liaison team and from both a Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance perspective, headed the Project Finance business that was ranked number 1 globally for 3 years running. Andrew is also an ex-Olympic Swimming medallist, and in his spare time heads the BBC Television swimming commentary team at all Olympic Games and World Swimming Championships.
