Imad Ahmed

Imad Ahmed has assisted the government of Rwanda in executing 14 PPPs, concessions and joint ventures as a Transactions Advisor at the Rwanda Development Board since 2012. He has also helped it develop tools for contracting authorities to present their proposed infrastructure projects and for the Ministry of Finance to prioritise these schemes. In addition, Mr Ahmed has advised the Treasury as a Special Policy Advisor on Large Investments to Rwanda's Secretary to the Treasury and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance. He previously worked in London as an investment professional at Duet Africa Private Equity and at TLG Capital. Mr Ahmed has been published widely in newspapers including The New York Times, The Guardian and The East African. He was a Schmidheiny Global Business Scholar at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University (MIB), studied at HEC Paris and has a BA in Economics from Berkeley.
