Rishi Nihalani

Executive Director, Head of Infrastructure Advisory

Rishi is the Head of Infrastructure Advisory for EMEA at MUFG. He has 17 years of experience in the Infrastructure sector having focused on a variety of financial advisory mandates, project and corporate financings using senior and mezzanine bank and capital market funding, ratings processes, privatisations and financial structurings.Prior to joining MUFG he was part of the Infrastructure lending and/or advisory teams at Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, UBS Investment Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers.More specifically, Rishi has been involved in a number of transactions including:• Lead financial advisory roles including: The refinancing of the Dutch High Speed Link, D4/R7, D1, R1 (Slovakia), Limmel Lock (Netherlands), Maritime Yard (GCC), E18 Phases 2 and 3 (Finland), Refinancing of UK Waste-to Energy plant, S-Bahn Berlin (Germany), A1/A6 and A9 (Netherlands), A7 and A94 (Germany), Cross Rail Rolling Stock PPP (UK), M80 (UK), A5 (Austria), Waterford Bypass (Ireland), M1 Westlink (UK), NATS (UK), Bina Istra (Croatia), Manchester Metrolink (UK) and the London Underground PPP (UK). He also advised on the potential acquisitions of Leeds Bradford (UK) and London City (UK) Airports;• Bank financing roles including: A1 (Poland), a bid for Laing's rail assets (UK), a regional airport (UK);• Bond financing transactions including: NATS refinancing (UK), Bina Istra (Croatia), A5 (Austria);• Privatisations including: Sangster International Airport (Jamaica), Larnaca and Pafos Airports (Cyprus); and• Multilateral financing: Rishi has worked with a number of multilaterals including the EIB, EBRD and IFC.• ECA financing: Bina Istra (Croatia). Rishi has a MSc with Distinction in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol and a BSc Hons in Economics from the University of Bath.
