Bruno is graduated in Civil Engineering by Mackenzie University (SP), and has an MBA degree in Finance by IBMEC. He also has a SEP post-graduate degree on GSB (Graduate School of Business) at Stanford University, for senior-level global business leaders.His previous professional experience includes technical experience as a Civil Engineer at the construction company João Fortes Engenharia S.A. (1996), Hogar Engenharia and also at Birmann S.A. with commercial buildings evaluation analysis (1997-1998).For ten years, Bruno worked at Itau Seguros, and, later, Itau XL Seguros Corporativos and Itau Unibanco. He started at the company on a trainee program in 1999, and in 2001 he was in charge of the Reinsurance Department, being responsible for all the actuarial data analysis, quotation and placement of the reinsurance treaties life and non-life. He was also responsible for non-traditional reinsurance alternatives, and was involved on all M&A analyses and negotiations which ended up on the Itau XL joint venture. Bruno was responsible for all the operations in Itau XL, including U/W guidelines, Reinsurance and all the relationship with the bank including HR, Financial and Actuarial.Bruno Camargo started Fairfax Brasil greenfield operation in 2009 together with Jacques Bergman. Since then, he has acted as the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all operation and reporting directly to the CEO and the Canadian holding company FFH.
