Double the content, double the value

We want to ensure you get the most out of GEF 2016, whether it's through our special deal team packages and extensive networking opportunities, or, in this case, enhanced content.

This year we are introducing two exclusive separately bookable briefing days, which means even more market updates and first hand information from the regions' expert leaders.

Double the content - double the value.

So don't miss out and have a look at what we have prepared for you in 2016.

13 September: 2nd Global Export Finance Africa Briefing Day

ECA finance: mitigating risk and driving investment into Africa

Looking to build on the success of last year’s inaugural event, we are set to continue exploring this exciting and diverse region before the main Global Export Finance Conference.

In 2015, the briefing day saw nearly 300 players from the African and international export finance community gather in Barcelona.

The continent continues to grow, and there has been a surge in financing demands for megaprojects.

However, the question is, how do we develop the African export finance market?

This year the 2nd GEF Africa Briefing day will give you an answer.

Key benefits of the briefing day:

  • The opportunity to hear from and network with key players in export finance including banks, borrowers, local experts, multilaterals and of course ECAs
  • Panel discussions which will explore new topics including the role of Asian financiers in the region, and the infrastructure needed for energy projects
  • Roundtables which will enhance debate and discussion during the conference

13 September: Euromoney's Inaugural Export & Agency Finance Middle East Briefing Day

Confronting the underlying challenges of export finance in the Middle East

As the Middle East enters a period of structural change, the demand for long term funding, debt and risk mitigation will continue to grow as sovereigns face budget deficits from low oil prices and local banks suffer liquidity constraints.

This year’s inaugural conference will bring together the international export finance community, alongside regional borrowers, sovereigns and DFIs, to explore opportunities and challenges in the region.

Delegates will hear from industry experts, will learn from practical case studies, and will contribute to debates to acquire the knowledge and connections to succeed in the region.

Key topics of the briefing day include:

  • Identifying the hottest sectors and countries for capex and debt financing
  • Unlocking Iran’s potential: What market infrastructure is needed to facilitate export finance?
  • Developing bankable ECA structures for IPPs in the power and renewables sectors

More useful information

To attend the briefing days you will need to book them separately, as they are not part of the main GEF 2016 conference.

The briefing days will be ran simultaneously on 13 September 2016, the day before the conference at the same hotel, Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria.

So please be careful while making your booking to avoid disappointment.
