Marc Tristant currently works as Country Head & Principal Investment Officer for the International Finance Corporation in the Lima office from where he covers the Andean Region since the country office was opened in 2003. He is also a point person for Corporate Finance supporting their activities across Latin America and the Caribbean. He transferred from New York to Chile as General Manager of Santiago Asesorias Financieras, Ltda., the investment banking affiliate of Banco Santiago – the second largest bank in Chile - and also part of the Santander Group. He joined Santander Investment in New York as Vice President for Mergers & Acquisitions, Project Finance and Advisory Services where he was responsible for coverage of Latin America. Prior to joining Santander Investment in New York, Mr. Tristant was the Vice President of Corporate Finance as well as head of Global Trust and Custody at Banco Santander Peru. Before joining the Santander Group, Mr. Tristant worked as Assistant Vice President at Citibank in Peru for the Global Relationship Banking Division where he managed relationships for top tier multinational clients forming part of Citibank’s worldwide relationships. Mr. Tristant came to Citibank from Bank of America in San Francisco where he started in the Consumer Banking Division, continued with the Commercial Banking Division and then focused his work as an Associate in the Corporate Syndications and Agency Group. Mr. Tristant holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of San Francisco, both with distinctions.
