Michael Warner is managing director of Airplane Programs and Valuations for Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC), a wholly-owned Boeing subsidiary that is primarily responsible for arranging, structuring and providing financing for Boeing’s commercial airplane, space and defense products. He was appointed to this role in May 2015. In this role, Warner is responsible for promoting Boeing commercial aircraft to financial institutions, appraisers, rating agencies, Wall Street investors and analysts. He also regularly coordinates with Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) on product developments of interest to BCC stakeholders, and participates in the financing unit’s investment committee process. Previously, Warner was the Airplane Development Customer Leader for Boeing Commercial Airplane where he was the main interface between the Airplane Development and Sales & Marketing organizations. The role included responsibility for the 777X, 737MAX, 787-9 and 787-10 airplane programs. Prior to that, Warner served as the Director of Market Analysis for BCA, leading the team that develops and publishes Boeing’s annual Current Market Outlook. Warner began his career at Boeing in Aerodynamics Engineering, where he supported the design and certification of new Boeing airplanes including the 777. He then transitioned to the marketing department in 1998 where he held several positions, including Regional Director of Product Marketing, where he presented the value of Boeing products and services to airline customers, leasing companies and the media. Warner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master’s of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Seattle University.
