Marie de Graaf

Head of Renewable Energy

Marie has joined ABN AMRO in February 2016 and is responsible for further expanding and positioning the banks’ renewable energy business globally. She is one of the founders of Green Giraffe (2009) where she was involved as a project manager in several closed financings in the (offshore) wind sector including Belwind (2009, Belgium, 165 MW), Walney (2011-12, UK, 367 MW), NOP Agrowind (195 MW, NL) and Westermeerwind (144 MW, NL). In such role she has gained in depth knowledge of the complex relation between the contractual structure, the regulatory framework and the lenders requirements to get the deal done. Before creating Green Giraffe, she held analyst positions at Econcern and NIBC. Marie holds an MSc in International Economics and Business from the Rijks Universiteit Groningen.
