Jean-François Samray has been at the head of the AQPER (Association québécoise de la production d'énergie renouvelable) since December 2009. He is a member of the government-industry working group for the development of wind power in Quebec. A frequent contributor to energy issues, he currently sits on the Table des partenaires du développement Nordique and the Table de concertation sur l'industrie électrique. Formerly President and CEO of the Association de l'industrie électrique du Québec, he has worked for over a decade with government, environmental and business leaders to promote the development of renewable energy in Quebec.Mr. Samray holds an EMBA in energy from the Norwegian Business School and a BA in Economics from the University of Sherbrooke.A former soccer coach, Mr. Samray believes in shaping youth through education and sports. He was Chairman of Board of the Institut en génie de l'énergie électrique (IGEE) from 2008 to 2013 and is past President of the Montreal Centre branch of the Navy League of Canada.
