James C. Berner

James C. Berner is a Director with First Reserve's Energy Infrastructure Funds team, having joined the firm in 2011. His responsibilities include deal origination, structuring, and execution of energy investments, particularly power generation, and he has over fifteen years of experience in the energy sector. Prior to joining First Reserve, Mr. Berner was a Managing Director at General Electric Capital Corporation, in the Energy Financial Services division, and a Vice President, Project and Structured Finance, at Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., Mr. Berner holds a B.A. from Cornell University, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School and a M.A. from School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University.
