David Tweedy

Managing Director, Global Infrastructure Finance

Mr.Tweedy began working for CIBC Capital Markets in January 2014, joining the Global Infrastructure Finance group and based in New York. His work at CIBC Capital Markets focuses on expanding CIBC Capital Markets’ successful Global Infrastructure Finance business in North America, including advisory assignments on P3 projects as well as M&A activity. Mr. Tweedy’s career has spanned both public and private sectors, and most recently he was Chief of Capital Planning at the Port Authority of New York / New Jersey, where he had responsibility for the rebuilding of the WTC site as well as overall capital planning at the agency. Prior to his tenure at the Port Authority, Mr. Tweedy was a management consultant for Parsons Brinckerhoff, where he advised public sector clients on capital planning and management / organizational issues. Mr. Tweedy also served as First Deputy Commissioner for New York City’s Dept. of Environmental Protection (DEP), and spent years prior to that working in capital planning and management positions at NYC Transit. His early career included jobs in banking and manufacturing. Mr. Tweedy has a B.A. from Yale and an M.B.A. (finance) from Columbia University. He has lived in Brooklyn, NY with his family for many years.
