Patrick Kaufer

Patrick Käufer is a Managing Director in Debt Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank in New York where he is the Global Head of Aviation Capital Markets. In this capacity, he is responsible for the development, origination and structuring of secured and unsecured debt financings for airlines, aircraft lessors and aerospace manufacturers, as well as other transportation companies globally. Patrick has been a leader in the Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates (EETC) market since its inception in 1994. During the past 20+ years, he has executed more than 200 structured debt transactions, raising in excess of $100 billion for his clients.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Patrick spent 15 year at Morgan Stanley, including five years as Managing Director. For three years, Patrick was based in Germany where he was Morgan Stanley’s Head of Global Capital Markets and also served as Head of Fixed Income for Morgan Stanley Bank AG.
Patrick is a member of the Board of Directors of the Aviation Working Group (AWG), a member of ISTAT and an emeritus member of the North American Executive Board of the MIT Sloan School of Management. Patrick holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Engineering and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He lives with his wife and five children outside New York City.
