Nathalie Louat

Senior Manager for Financial Products and Innovation

Nathalie Louat is Senior Manager in IFC’s Financial Institutions Group in charge globally of Innovation and of IFC’s investments in Capital Markets, Housing Finance, Insurance, and Distressed Assets, based in Washington.
She was previously a Senior Manager for IFC’s East Asia and the Pacific Portfolio Operations in the Financial Institutions Group, based in Hong Kong from 2010 until 2014.
From 1999 until 2010, Nathalie worked in IFC’s Structured Finance Department within the Treasury Vice-Presidency, structuring a wide range of innovative forms of financing: securitizations, risk-sharing arrangements and other structured finance transactions in emerging markets. Her work focused on highly developmental sectors, such as microfinance, health and education in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.
She is a member of the IFC Financial Institutions Group’s management team. She served on IFC’s Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee and received the World Bank Group’s Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Award in 2012.
Prior to joining IFC, Nathalie pursued a career in Credit Lyonnais’ Securitization Group. She holds a degree from the French School of Statistics and Economics and graduated as an Actuary from the French Institute of Actuarial Studies.
