Event Overview

“Exploring the digitalisation of trade finance instruments and processes”

We are delighted to announce that the 13th Annual Global Commodities Finance Geneva (8th & 9th June), will be preceded by a separately bookable briefing day focussing on opportunities and threats for the application of FinTech in Trade Finance.

The FinTech Trade Finance Briefing Day on the 7th June 2016, will bring together technology providers and solutions, banks, trading houses and producers, to discuss how technology can support growth in trade finance, and how it can be implemented.

The format will be in an open round table environment, to foster debate and discussion over issue led topics.

Key themes for the agenda include:

  • How comfortable are banks and corporates with Bank Payment Obligations?
  • To what extent is a lack of harmonization and standardisation holding back the digitalisation of trade finance documents and contracts?
  • Understanding blockchain and will it be a disruptive force for trade finance?
  • Will FinTech be applied to structured trade/commodity finance such as PXFs?
