Marc Ribó

Senior Economist

Marc Ribó has a degree in Administration & Economics and a Master in Business Administration by ESADE Business School and a Master in Public-Private Management of Infrastructures by the UPC, Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
He started working in 1997 in the small family business of auto spare parts. During 2000 and 2001 he had a couple of internships abroad, first as Project Manager in Federal Mogul-UK and secondly marketing outsourcing services for IT&T-India. Back in Barcelona in 2001, he started working in the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), first in the Organizational Department and later in the Strategy and Quality Department. In 2007 he left again for an international experience to work for INDRA, a technology consultancy, as Change Management Consultant in a World Bank project to modernise and integrate the financial systems of the Government of Zambia.
In 2009 he joined Abertis Group in the Studies and Corporate Communication Department to give support with economic analysis. In 2011 he was assigned to the Studies and President’s Office, giving support to the Chairman in his different roles. In 2014, he was appointed as Senior Economist to the International Affairs Unit where he has been promoting contacts with international institutions, and elaborating economic and in-depth analysis about the sector. Since 2017 he is Senior Economist Manager in the Corporate and Business Development Area in charge of macroeconomic and sector analysis in current and new markets.
