Infrastructure in Asia in numbers

  • Asia is in need of US$8 trillion worth of infrastructure investments from 2010 to 2020
  •  In ASEAN, US$60 billion annually will be needed through 2022 to fulfil region's infrastructure needs
  • 211 prospective Belt and Road projects in the pipeline with total investment amounting to US$213.2 billion
  • Japan will increase current spend by 30% and put $110 billion towards the market in the next 5 years

What to expect?

IJGlobal’s Interactive Data Presentation
We will kick off the forum with an interactive data presentation to provide insights on the latest trends and infrastructure and project finance volumes in Asia Pacific. You will learn who were the most active lenders, project sponsors and investors last year and what countries and assets were most appealing to them. Audience voting will be conducted throughout the session to hear the industry’s views on data and the challenges and opportunities indicated.

Hour of Power Roundtables
Our roundtable discussions will elaborate on the latest power sector developments in a more intimate setting with selected representatives from the hottest markets in the region. Spend 20-30 minutes with your peers at the roundtable of your choice.

Audience Voting
To ensure a high level of interaction between the speakers and delegates, audience voting will be conducted throughout the event to gather and showcase the audiences’ opinions.

The Great Finance Debate
This interactive session will look into the five most pressing themes in infrastructure financing. Each theme will be kicked off with a brief introduction and audience voting to gather initial thoughts on the subject. Panel members will step in after to argue for and against the audiences’ stand. Will you change your position by the end of the debate?

What our delegates said?

“In this particular forum, I really enjoyed all the sessions from the opening until the roundtable and discussions. The lineup of the speakers is excellent and their level of expertise and experience are really remarkable. At the same time, this Forum created opportunity to develop my network with fellow leaders in the same industry. With some people it feels like a homecoming event.”
Harold Tjiptadjaja, Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer, PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF)

“A great event, very dynamic discussions with good audience interaction on very topical subjects and excellent attendance. Very useful and an event I look forward to being part of in the future.”
Michael Barrow, Deputy Director General, Private Sector Operations Department, Asian Development Bank (ADB)

“We find that many of the risks inherent in power financing in Asia are avoided rather than fully understood and managed. The IJ Global/Euromoney conference does a great job at articulating a diversity of interests that educate and inform about the real opportunities in Asia.”
Mitesh Patel, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Black & Veatch

“Great conference! The yearly event not to be missed with the gathering of all the players around APAC.”
Frederic Pergay, Vice President, Infrastructure Development Asia Pacific, Bouygues Construction
