Amelia Anderson

Amelia Anderson is Managing Director, Assistant Treasurer of American Airlines, a position she’s held since January 2014 following the merger of American Airlines and US Airways.  Amelia and her team are responsible for execution of the company’s debt, and since the merger have financed over 500 new aircraft and completed nearly $50 billion in transactions.

Amelia is co-founder of Advancing Women in Aviation Roundtable (AWAR), a grassroots initiative working with senior executives to promote the development and advancement of women in aviation, and she serves as co-chair of the American Airlines Women’s Leadership Program.  In 2017, Amelia was named the inaugural recipient of Airfinance Journal’s Aviation Woman of the Year award.

Amelia holds a BS degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and an MBA degree in Corporate Finance from Georgia State University.  She and her husband Robert have two teenage daughters and reside in Coppell, Texas.
