Ana Ajduka

Africa GreenCo

Ana is a Founder & CEO of Africa GreenCo.  Africa GreenCo is developing an innovative strategy to address offtaker creditworthiness and unlock private investment in power projects through the set up of a new PPP vehicle, a government co-owned creditworthy intermediary offtaker and power services provider to sit between renewable electricity generation companies on the one hand, and both state owned and private sector offtakers on the other. GreenCo will operate as a member of the regional power pool, aggregate offtaker credit risk and diversify both supply and demand side risks on a regional basis. Only through a PPP entity and development of new business models in partnership with the national utilities and governments can we build a sustainable and more fiscally efficient power sector.

Previously Ana practiced law for more than 12 years having qualified in England and Wales and the State of New York.  Ana trained with Allen & Overy LLP and went on to work for Fulbright & Jaworski LLP and Trinity International LLP, advising on a diverse range of projects within the energy sector, predominately in Sub-Saharan Africa. In March 2015, Ana was appointed by the UNECE as the Team Leader responsible for a Project Team (comprising about 30 specialists) in charge of developing international renewable energy PPP standards as part of the SEforAll and SDGs international development agenda.
