Matthew Huxham

Climate Policy Initiative Energy Finance

Matthew Huxham is a Consultant with CPI’s Energy Finance team where he leads the group’s stranded assets programme, which is currently focused on South Africa and other major coal exporters. He is also leading the development of a new strategy relating to the disclosure of physical climate and transition risks, and new market-based risk-management strategies.

Prior to joining CPI, Matthew was a lead analyst in the EMEA Utilities team at Moody’s, a senior advisor to the UK Government and worked in the corporate credit team at RBS.

Matthew is a qualified accountant has a Master’s degrees from the University of Oxford (in Russian and Linguistics) and from the University College London (in Modern History).
