Marcelo Breton is an economist from Universidad de la República (Uruguay), with a master’s in finance from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He’s been working in Ventus Energia from April 2017 to the date, as Financial Director, leading the financial strategy of the Company. Ventus has a strong presence in Argentina sin 2016 providing engineering and construction services for over 1.7 GW for more than 30 clients, and with a pipeline of + 400 MW of greenfield projects.
Former jobs: Previously, Marcelo was CEO of Teyma Concesiones, leader in the infrastructure and energy concessional sector in Uruguay. Breton led the PPA negotiations and the financial closing for the first large-scale wind farm in Uruguay. After that, he successfully structured the financing for other 120 MW of wind projects under PPAs and Leasing Agreements. In the infrastructure sector he structured the first Public Private Partnership project in Uruguay.
