Infrastructure Leadership Council – Inaugural Roundtable Meeting

As part of our commitment to support public sector and quasi-public sector institutions, we are delighted to have established the Infrastructure Leadership Council this year.  

The aim of the Council is to bring together key players from these institutions to share knowledge and information, facilitating and enabling infrastructure financing and development globally.  

With WEIS already recognised as the global meeting place for the public and private sectors in the space, the conference provides the perfect venue to host the first invitation only Infrastructure Leadership Council roundtable meeting for the founding members.  



1.00pm - 2.15pm Exclusive Infrastructure Leadership Council Welcome Lunch

Members of the council will have exclusive access to their VIP table at lunch to meet and greet one another ahead of the start of the formal meeting later in the afternoon.



4.15pm Chairman’s Opening remarks

To open, a few words from the IJGlobal representative for the Council to welcome members to the meeting.


4.20pm Establishing the objectives for the meeting

Members will have the initial opportunity to outline some of their personal objectives for the roundtable to contextualise the following discussions, and ensure that all gain maximum benefit from proceedings.


4.30pm Roundtable discussion

Headed by the chairman, in the roundtable discussion all members will have the opportunity to share their knowledge and voice their opinions on a number of key topics including:

  • Is there such a thing as ‘best practice’ when it comes to developing PPPs or does specific country by country context play a pivotal role in defining how to advance projects?
  • How can we comprehensively measure the ‘success’ of PPP projects?
  • What have we learnt from the identified shortfalls and challenges faced from already completed PPP projects?
  • What sets well prepared projects aide from underprepared projects?
  • Aligning the expectations of the public sector with the private sector


5.30pm Close of roundtable, followed by networking drinks reception
