Marcio Migon

Head of Department, Aviation Financing - Export Credit Division

Holds a masters degree (MSc) in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, from COPPE/UFRJ (Rio de Janeiro, 2000), and a bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, from Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronaútica (São Jose dos Campos, 1993). After working for 7 years as an airworthiness surveyor at the Brazilian CAA, with training in Oklahoma (FAA) and Brighton (UK CAA), became maintenance director for a start-up operation under Brazilian regulations (Part 135) for two years. Joined BNDES in 2002 as an aircraft finance analyst. Became aircraft finance manager in 2005 and took up the current position in February 2010. Currently manages a multi billion dollar aircraft portfolio and a team of 15 people. Recent deals include a structured portfolio transaction for a leasing company, accoladed in 2012 by Euromoney, tax leases, straight loans and a representative rework of a 216-aircraft transaction with the sale of over USD 500 million in exotic assets at the USA market. Also regularly takes part in the Brazilian Government policymaking initiatives for the A&D sector.
