Willem Stitselaar

Willem Stitselaar is a Dutch national and director in the Macquarie Capital Infrastructure & Utilities team in Amsterdam. Since joining Macquarie in 2005 from ABN AMRO’s Infrastructure Capital team, Willem has been involved in a wide range of infrastructure/PPP projects as both equity sponsor and financial advisor. Willem is leading the PPP efforts of the Macquarie Capital Amsterdam branche and helped setting up the offices. He is responsible for identifying investment opportunities and managing relationships with key clients in the Infrastructure and Utilities space (incl PPS). He has advised and worked for the last 14 years on infrastructure projects in many sectors, including: PPP (Health, Education, Defence, Housing and Accommodation), (toll) roads, utilities, energy, waste/water, property, and transportation. He is currently advising on a range of Infrastructure projects in the Benelux. Willem also worked 4 years as an advisor for PwC's Corporate Finance Transport Team in London bidding for a wide range of projects such as the Irish Toll road programme. Before that he worked for 3 years at DePfa in project finance and PFI as a lender/arranger. In this previous role he undertook a variety of international arranging and underwriting assignments in a diverse range of industry sectors incl. roads, rail and accommodation PPPs. He holds a Master of Science degree (drs) Economics from the University of Amsterdam
