Stuart Lawrie

GI Energy

Having graduated from Nottingham University in 1987, Stuart worked with Arthur Andersen before joining East Midlands Electricity plc, eventually running their new connections and contracting division. Following deregulation of the industry, Stuart led the business to become the first regional electricity company to deliver new connections to customers outside East Midlands Electricity’s traditional franchise area. Stuart moved to Amey plc, where he was key in setting up a new utilities division, focused on providing wireless automatic meter reading services following the acquisition of a US technology business. He then went on to lead up Amey’s facilities management business providing the full range of FM services to public and private sector clients under both PFI and more traditional contract relationships. In 2004, Stuart became Managing Director of Lorne Stewart’s Service business. Responsible for their maintenance activities, he led a period of significant growth following successful contract wins in the London commercial building market and utilities sector. Stuart joined Four Seasons Group in 2009, transforming it from a heating and ventilation contractor into an energy management group by combining mechanical engineering skills with building control software expertise. GI Energy Group appointed Stuart as CEO in June 2014 with the objective of rapidly growing the business through the deployment of GI’s proven expertise in renewable energy technology solutions to large multi-site clients.
