Lambert Koehling is a Director in the Legal Department of the Association of German Banks covering legal aspects of international trade and trade finance as well as OTC-derivatives and securities finance transactions. His responsibilities include the commissioning of legal opinions for regulatory purposes obtained for the German banking industry, such as the netting opinions regarding the German master agreements for financial transactions as well as the legal opinions for the purposes of Art. 194 CRR in respect of export credit guarantees provided by the German export credit agency). He is a member of various committees and working groups on trade finance, regulatory and bank recovery and resolution issues of the European Banking Federation, the ICC Banking Commission and the German banking industry. Prior to joining the Association of German Banks in 2005, he worked as an associate with an international law firm in Duesseldorf, Germany, in the project finance group. He studied law at the University of Muenster and Queen Mary, University of London.
