Christopher Millward, a UK national, is a Senior Underwriter and Acting Head of Europe at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group. Millward joined MIGA in 2004 as an Investment Officer responsible for designing and implementing MIGA's business development and outreach activities in Europe and Asia. Now based in Paris, Millward develops and executes MIGA’s involvement in projects throughout Europe, Central Asia, and Africa, especially in Infrastructure. He has led MIGA's participation in a number health PPP projects in Turkey, Konan Bedie Toll Bridge Project in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire; an innovative cross-currency swap solution in Senegal; and several metro and port financings in Turkey. Prior to joining MIGA, Millward worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse in London. Millward holds a master’s degree from St. Andrews University and an MBA from Georgetown University.
